In the Augenfalle
Eva Krause knows how to immediately capture the viewer with her unique performances.
With her own rules of play, the artist subtly gives her own interpretation to the art movements of realism, surrealism and abstract art and occupies unique space within them.
Admittedly, there is a fascination for the grotesque, absurd and grumpy, but it is never entirely clear, so you start guessing and interpret it before you know it, with the result that it will not let you go. It is a refined game with artfully arranged performances, which, in combination with the realistic fragment and free association, is reminiscent of a kind of dreamed logic. In this way, completely disparate elements can nevertheless be brought into a credible context and the observer is challenged to view this work in a different way each time.
