  • If you walk through the city during the week, you may be approached by Frank Stoks. He is an artist, was once even a city cartoonist and some days walks through the city for hours drawing passers-by. Frank has been drawing passing townspeople on his tablet for years. Sometimes he asks them if they want to pose, other times he does it secretly. “The most enjoyable part are the conversations you have with people. You get to know a lot of people a little bit this way.

  • Location: Nature Historical Museum, Rotterdam
  • Look over the shoulders of Frank Stoks, the Rotterdam Speedy Gonzales among the cartoonists. He quickly turns you into a beastly cartoon, and your best characteristics naturally predominate! The portraits together form a family of animals that are projected on the large wall under the sperm whale during the night. Have your image printed as a night mouse and spread through the city together with others like a veritable plague of mice.

They met catering tigers, ex-NATO radar experts, (former) skippers, tourists on a team outing, a historian and a world-famous evangelical cartoonist. Frank with his I-Pad and pencil and Edwin with notebook and ballpoint pen. Stories were collected and islanders were portrayed. The poem
