Hillegon Brunt takes a closer look at her surroundings, and after that everything is different…
It's looking, looking and looking again… nothing is what it seems. Hillegon Brunt looks with amazement at the mystery of life around her. She analyzes and combines, looking for the poetry in what she sees. 'The game of imagination', is what she calls her quest to compose a new image with different elements. She stimulates your imagination with these surprising combinations and diverse techniques; she pulls you into another world. The refined way of drawing and the leading role of details hold you - you keep looking.

Hillegon Brunt, in close collaboration with graphic designer Art Collart, made the books Once Upon A Time… the observations of Hillegon Brunt (Jap Sam Books, 2016) and Door het land (2022)
