Irene van Ophoven

design - textile - screen printing - printing (2d) - wall painting

I work as a designer and stylist and I find it fascinating how art and design can change a space or interact with a person through variations in colors, material and shapes. Every object and space around us has a beauty, an emotion and a story to tell. In my work I want to bring these stories alive; I do so by designing patterns and textiles to make daring statements for interiors and other spatial projects.
My ideas often originate from experiment and research. When I'm designing I mix the digital and handicrafts; I develop autonomous work as well as bespoke designs with a unique and personal signature.
