Designing and making art installations and landscape works always starts with an investigation into the place where the artwork will be placed. I look at the history and the architecture and in this way make a connection between the artwork and the environment. This connection is expressed in the materials, colors and shapes that are used. As a result, certain aspects of the place are re-illuminated.
