Art and the profession of artist are at stake. The market increasingly determines the consensus on quality. There is a growing demand from institutions for socially involved art, while freedom of expression is restricted for political reasons. For me, being an artist is the choice to view the world from an autonomous and independent position and to translate it into experiences that amaze and raise questions.
