The human being, the model, life and his outward appearance are her source of inspiration. The beauty, but especially that which is hidden behind the mask, is what intrigues her.
Observe and discover new worlds behind the 'outside'.
With a sense of beauty, she tries to portray the model, but without being an exact representation of a specific person. The way of drawing and painting and the addition of alienating elements on or near the portrait evokes personal associations. The portrait aims to show that behind the surface, there are deeper layers; a hidden inner world.
These unique inner worlds can contain a lot of beauty, show emotion and sadness, and make fear and pain felt.
Not so much the resemblance, but the artificial interventions, the strange additions of elements tempt to look and evoke associations.
