My name is Jur Stans (Jur Costanza) and I create organized chaos on walls, paintings, prints and carpets based on my own strange memories and rich imaginations. My images (showing my background as a graffiti artist and illustrator
clearly visible) are characterized by funny, uncomfortable situations. They can be read as a kind of rebuses where, if there is an unambiguous solution to the riddle, it is one that calls for a chuckle.

    • “The Gniffel” is a series of works consisting of a number of paintings and prints that try to create a “Gniffel” in people through humor and imagination. This makes the series interesting for anyone who has an open mind about artistry and who also needs lighting for heavier subjects. In order to achieve this goal as well as possible, it is very important for me to better understand the background information about humor and humor in art.
