artistic research - nature - ecology - experimental - installation

My work focuses on the relationship between nature and culture in Western society.
Nature and culture are often seen as opposing ideas: cultural developments are by definition seen as anti-nature and what belongs to human culture cannot be considered nature. I resist this dualism and try to develop a culture in my work that embraces nature and in which the non-human can play a role. Through research, objects and installations whose material arises from the subject, I try to represent other species and recognize them in a form of culture.
The way I deal with their materiality is essential. In this way I try to preserve the identity of my subject (and therefore material) by carefully shaping the transformation process and keeping it very limited. For the same reason, ready-made synthesized aids such as glue or paint have been declared taboo in my practice.
