Marjoke Schulten (1970) graduated in 1993 from the Rotterdam Academy of Visual Arts in the field of Free Graphics. The traditional graphic techniques are enriched with contemporary cutting techniques such as a plotter and laser cutting. Marjoke no longer prints her prints in the traditional edition, but varies within the edition in the execution of the work.
The works on paper are supplemented with wall objects and digital drawings.
The topics stem from the fascination for travel, transportation, mythology and folk culture. The last two years, the emphasis has been on blimps and submarines.
