- Michael Bom is fascinated by reflection, movement and rhythm of large water surfaces such as that of the Meuse and the North Sea. During his observations there are moments that he calls 'magical'. The energy of such a magical moment inspires him to create new works. Last summer he did research, made sketches on location, and made new work in his studio. The works you see here were the starting point for this research. On display 24/7 in the windows of G126.

- The kinetic optical installation 'Time Patterns I' by Rotterdam based artist Michael Bom has been nominated for the 6th International André Evard-Art Award by the Kunsthalle Messmer in Germany. For the sixth time, the Kunsthalle Messmer will be awarding one of the world's most important art prizes in the field of concrete-constructive art. The work of the 101 nominated artists can be seen in the museum from December 3, 2021 - February 27, 2022.
