Pip Passchier

experimental - abstract - sculpture - drawing - sculpture

Pip Passchier (Amersfoort, 1995) makes sculptures with which she wants to illuminate the world. Her images arise from color and form and often react to the environment in which they find themselves. With her works, which are often in public space, she wants to encourage the viewer to move around her images.
She wants to provoke a reaction in the viewer, make the viewer curious and activate it. The sculptures and site specific installations confuse our expectations of everyday recognizable objects, shapes and colours. How do we behave when the rules of the game are blurred and jumbled? How does one maneuver around a work of art that encourages interaction?

Pip Passchier graduated in 2017 from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. She currently lives and works in Rotterdam. Her work has been exhibited in various places.
