performance - soft sculptures - textile

I am a sustainable textile artist. I am fascinated by textiles as an art form, as a means of creating large objects, which are the pivot of an interactive installation or move through space on their own and only allow viewing. Gender & sexuality play a major role in my work. One of my biggest sources of inspiration is the underwater world & space, where gravity and time play a completely different role and everything seems to happen in slow motion. I like to work interdisciplinary, with dance, music and projections.

I make and design costumes, fashion, sets and props. I make costumes, decor and props on commission for my performance agency 'House of GHOD' and for my mermaids temporary employment company 'de Rotterdamsche Viswijven'.

I have a clothing label whose clothing is sold online. These are usually unique pieces or small editions. The clothing is made from fabric remnants or other items of clothing. So no new pollution comes into play.
