Rutger Nijkamp is a filmmaker & visual artist based in Rotterdam, where he studied Audiovisual Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy. He is interested in initiating personal development in documentary subjects by placing them in fictional frameworks. Operating in the gray zone of fiction and reality, he investigates topics such as identity and creativity.

    • Hendrik as Victor (2022). Short documentary (22min). Filmmaker Rutger Nijkamp takes his best friend Hendrik to France to make a film together. It allows Hendrik to explore what he would like most: acting.

    • Location: POING Club, Rotterdam
    • Club RGB is a bi-weekly Thursday-night club series combining electronic music with audiovisual art. Held at POING Club, Rotterdam, Elastiek programs exciting DJs and VJs in the main room, and curates an art exhibition in the basement with various collectives and visual artists. Club RGB alternates on three musical/visual themes color-coded as Red, Green and Blue - respectively focusing on old and new genres resonating with the audiovisual culture of the '80s, '90/00s and present.
