- This Naked Incident is a deep dive in search of the place that 'masculinity' holds in the lives of young people today. "In the conversations we had with our friends in their spaces of comfort, it became even more apparent to us that gender, following Judith Butler, and therefore masculinity, is performative." Alexander van der Heide and Sander Coers spoke with five peers; all assigned male at birth and all with very different experiences of masculinity and equally different gender expressions.

- Blue Mood (Al Mar) is a tender portrait of a generation of young men. In this exploration and celebration of the melancholy of adolescence, I relive and rearrange memories. The story takes place in a colorful, warm and dreamlike world, a hallucinatory landscape based on the stories of my friends, peers and myself. This work is a visual essay about the fragility of growing up, the transformation to adulthood and the search for self-acceptance.

Eat Home
Project
-
01-07-2019 t/m 01-01-2021
- Come Home is a visual study of the male love landscape. Through intimate portraits, sun-drenched stills, floral shots and sultry details, I explore the way young men experience intimacy and express love. The photo book focuses on five protagonists; Jens, Derrick, Chris, Tjeerd and Tim who each deal with their own views on masculinity and share stories about love, intimacy and growing up.
