People are central in the images I make. My work process is a self-examination in which the other and the world are reflected. I seek confrontation and try to put my finger on the sore spot. By shaping this in image and language, I hope to stimulate the feelings and inner thoughts of the viewer, in the form of recognition, challenge or suggestion. Self-knowledge, self-criticism, but also wonder and interest in the world and the other are important and timeless values for me, which - especially now in a time of mass everything, virtual anonymity and profiling - deserve attention. I see a beauty in the depths of our complex emotional world; the interaction between inside and outside, feeling and event, control and surrender. My drawings, etchings and texts sketch a transition from one thing to another or getting stuck in it.
