public space - community - social - conceptual - performance

I mainly deal with location-specific installations. I try to create places/installations where people can reflect on structural changes that are or have had an impact. I like to work in public spaces and explore how democratic these public spaces are in practice. In contrast to the other places, public spaces are very dynamic places. In my opinion, the interaction between art and society is strongest in public space. Namely, an image influences its environment, but this is also the case the other way around. Because of my interest in social themes and nature, I often immerse myself in other disciplines. In the intersection between art and other disciplines such as science, architecture, sound art, etc., the most opportunities for growth lie for me. This allows me to get to know new perspectives and to put myself in the shoes of them, which I translate into new projects.

    • Wild Summer of Art

    • Location: Brutus, Rotterdam
    • The first edition of Wild Summer of Art will take place from 1 July to 4 September 2022. In other words, a huge exhibition with selected young talent and established names with new work by a total of 180 artists. Wild Summer of Art offers an overview of the current state of affairs. Visitors can also purchase the exhibited works directly from the artist.

    Panorama of Cacotypes

    • Location: Pavilion on the water, Rotterdam
    • Panorama of Cacotypes is based on the artist's personal experience and research on systemic inequality in Greece. The installation raises questions about the credibility of the legal system in relation to the effects of sexual abuse and can be seen as a protest against the current law on sexual offenses and the lack of regulations regarding the handling of formal complaints. The photographs have been created using the photographic technique of Calotype that was invented in 1939 by William Fox.

    • The Greek NGO European Net against Violence is organizing an exhibition agains the female violence in Greece, in collaboration and studio Baumstrasse, a multi-arts venue hosting a diverse range of art and artistic expression, located in the heart of Athens, in Votanikos. It is also home to the 'Dromos me Dentra' theatrical group.
