After his graduation from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, Timon van der Hijden works as an independent designer for clients and galleries. The basis of his work is graphic design. Timon van der Hijden is looking for new ways to work with old techniques. The study of three-dimensional graphic design plays a major role in his work. In addition, his work has an overlap with design, visual arts and performance. Where graphic design has its limitations, these disciplines attain new surprise

    • Drawing is everywhere, we are surrounded by it. It is one of our earliest experiences as a child and as parents we cherish our offspring's drawings like nothing else. People draw all over the world; drawing can even be used as a global visual language when verbal communication fails. As an adult, we use it pragmatically to sketch our own maps and plans, but we also use it to dream in doodles or scribbles.
