Visual artist Tonio de Roover (1973, Bergen op Zoom) makes installations, sculptures and photos. He is interested in the relationship between social and material structures. De Roover makes this often invisible relationship between materiality and social, psychological and societal issues visible in a subtle way.

Everyday materials and observations serve as a starting point, which in his work are moved to an autonomous context and use. His work has been on display in Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, TENT. Rotterdam, Pictura Dordrecht and the KIK Foundation in Kolderveen. Tonio de Roover lives and works in Rotterdam.
