Wencke Nilsson

crossover - design - digital - textile

Wencke Nilsson is an artist and design designer, currently based in Rotterdam. She has been studying the Sublime for some time now. In doing so, we look at how this concept lives in our current society. Wencke creates new worlds through manipulations in images, by means of various analog and digital operations. The work arises from many image manipulations, in which coincidences arise, so that the unexpected comes together in the frame. Wencke is interested in the psyche of modern man and to what extent upbringing and the past influence the future. She transforms this human aspect into an image of desire.

As a design designer, Wencke translates her images into a more applied end result for wallpaper or textiles.
