Pilot | Specifieke vraag over je beroepspraktijk? Doe mee aan de Pilot Mentorship

Are you a Rotterdam visual artist and do you have a specific question about (a part of) your professional practice?
With the Pilot Mentorship Art Office offers you the opportunity to take time for concrete challenges you encounter.
How? By discussing this with a colleague. The mentoring process opens the door to conversations with colleagues outside the immediate circle, can provide new knowledge and perspectives and lead to mutual inspiration.

Why this initiative?

The Rotterdam artist community has a lot of knowledge, experience and expertise. Art Office believes it is important to stimulate mutual cooperation and knowledge sharing within the city, because they are crucial for growth and development. With this pilot we want to build a mentor network, through which we connect artists with diverse experiences and expertise.

Art Office stimulates this exchange by connecting artists and making an amount available for the mentor's hours. We are convinced that this will not only contribute to the development of individual professional practices, but will also strengthen the position of visual artists and the Rotterdam network.

For who?

The mentorship is intended for Rotterdam visual artists who:
– are registered with Art Office;
– have login credentials to artoffice.info;
– have an updated artist page.

How does it work?

– Applications are processed in order of receipt. We offer twenty programs within the pilot, which will run until the end of 2024.
– Four contact hours with a mentor are available per process, during which a specific question within professional practice is addressed. Mentors receive a compensation of €200 excluding VAT for four hours of guidance.
– The available hours are arranged by mutual agreement between the participants as desired, with a maximum duration of six months.
– We aim to have a match within three weeks. We will inform you about this by email. You can then contact your mentor yourself to make an appointment.

Interested?

Are you interested in a mentoring program? Then send an email to mentorship@cbkrotterdam.nl with your question and motivation (max. 5 sentences). Don't forget to include your name, email, telephone number, link to your artist page on artoffice.info and your own website. Choose two people from the list of mentors below. If you prefer a different mentor, please let us know and we will see if we can approach them. Please note: this artist must be listed on artoffice.info.
