Brigitte Jansen

Brigitte Jansen is a graphic designer and project leader in the cultural sector. Her work focuses on research, experimentation and new forms of learning. As a designer, Brigitte is interested in combining forms of interaction from the physical and digital world. In this way she emphasizes everyday interactions in her work. Brigitte designs websites and poster, but also museum installations and creates them with found footage. She is part of the art collective MADLAB Studio.
Brigitte also works as a project leader, art mediator and curator for various cultural institutions. She has led numerous research projects for institutions such as the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, Showroom MAMA, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen etc. She specializes in the creative reuse of heritage and currently works as a program manager at Het Nieuwe Instituut. Here she is working on setting up a network for archive design and digital culture.

  • The Los Angeles Rotterdam project (LARp) is a collaborative project which sees artist initiatives from Los Angeles paired up with initiatives from Rotterdam to make a series of online exhibitions. LARp will take place between the 8th and 28th of June 2020 during which time each initiative pair will be creating works in collaboration.
