installation - sculpture - DIY - objects

When you enter a room, it can often give you a feeling. The feeling that a space can give, consciously and unconsciously, intrigues me, they have a strong influence on our moods.
As a visual artist I work around spaces in which we live, work and wait. My own ideas and feelings are always the starting point for creating new work. It is often from a desire and/or a certain incompleteness that I experience that I start a project with. This desire can arise from a space I often find myself in or it can be an abstract space in which my current state of mind can best develop/express.
I work on a space on a project basis for a long period of time. I have worked with spaces such as the kitchen, the bathroom, the studio and the waiting room. But I also work with an idea of a space, a space that cannot be described in concrete terms but adapts to my needs.
