Daleen Bloemers

Op de collage-achtige doeken van Daleen Bloemers komen allerlei sporen en tekens bij
elkaar. Er zijn aanzetten van kwaststreken die plots weer stoppen, een soort ‘kopvoeter’-
kindertekening en wild potloodgekras naast foto’s van huidplooien en een digitaal verstoord
portret. Soms worden die beelden en tekens afgedekt door half transparante lagen of een
web van lijnen waardoor je verdwaalt in een speels maar onbekend beeldverhaal. Bloemers
is het vooral te doen om al die elementen in een vrije en tegelijk spannende compositie bij
elkaar te brengen.
Inspiratie haalde Bloemers uit de openhartige creativiteit van haar driejarige tweeling die
ongeremd en zonder belemmering potlood op papier zetten. Een intuïtieve en open houding
die contrasteert met de volwassen wereld waarin verwachtingen, betekenissen en
omgangsvormen zijn vastgeroest in kaders en patronen.
