kok does not limit herself to a specific medium, but collages, digital drawings, collecting, photography and video are her main tools. In her own work kok is keen on the aporetic turn of reclaiming historical traces and turning them into contemporary actions. Her work involves long term projects and events that focus on the connections between and the perceptions of people and their material context. At the moment she is working on the long-term project Relational Theory: The Opera, which wants to transform theoretical insights into a playful multimedia installation.

    • Als een kritische toevoeging aan de Rotterdamse milieuzone heeft de KOKRA FAMILY de Gossip Free Zone in het leven geroepen. Deze Gossip Free Zone wordt aan vier hoofdwegen van de stad aangegeven door middel van verkeersborden. In deze zone wordt niet alleen aan het fysieke maar ook aan het mentale welzijn van de burgers gedacht. In de galerie Garage Rotterdam zijn twee wandschilderingen en een tekst op de ramen aangebracht. Iedereen en alles binnen de milieuzone is echter onderdeel van het werk.

    • Luminous Bodies is a two-week residency to create artworks that shed new light on the human body. Its objective is to challenge “normativity” and Otherness. Its goal is to reinvent and re-present the body in most inclusive and diverse ways. At the last day of the residency the work produced is presented in a one-day exhibition open to the general public.
