Beeldend kunstenaar Tonio de Roover (1973, Bergen op Zoom) maakt installaties, sculpturen en foto's. Hij is geïnteresseerd in de relatie tussen sociale en materiële structuren. De Roover maakt deze vaak onzichtbare relatie tussen materialiteit en sociale, psychologische en maatschappelijke kwesties op subtiele wijze zichtbaar.

Alledaagse materialen en observaties dienen als vertrekpunt, die in zijn werk verplaatst worden naar een autonome context en gebruik. Zijn werk was o.a. te zien in Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, TENT. Rotterdam, Pictura Dordrecht en Stichting KIK in Kolderveen. Tonio de Roover woont en werkt in Rotterdam.
