I am an extended media artist constantly seeking creation in environmental and people-engaging art, with a background in architecture and lens-media study. I began my artistic practice with photography and later broadened my medium into extended media and landscape installation My practice now can be categorized as a hybrid form combining mix-media interactive art, AI, spatial installation, performance, and photography. My works constantly investigate the potential creative power within tangible, virtual space, and social contexts.

    • Overlapping and juxtaposing found territorial maps of Taiwan and Netherlands, the act of a bordering becomes a metaphorical pathway into themes of play, marking and occupying from personal to political scale. Rendering transparency and malleability to something as solid as the hard-line edges of nation-states.

    • In the residency, the artists worked on a web-based geographical coordinates system video chat room with one of Enter's developers and creative coder Ibo Ibelings. They question the necessity of geographical and body awareness while we perceive and interact with and within the digital space. The ultimate aim will be to open up a dialogue about redesigning alternative tools for future internet-based conversations.

    • Yu-Ching Chiang literally offers his window onto the algorithms of a so-called AI engine. Yu-Ching directs his AI engine to the themes in the Gallery of Honor of Dutch Photography, such as the development of new techniques and portrait photography. His project A Dialogue with an AI image Creator shows how artificial intelligence visualises these themes in image fragments that seem partly recognizable, but are also very alienating.
